About the Position
As a vital member of the team, the Wealth Planner builds personalized one-on-one relationships with clients to assist them in defining their financial goals and developing comprehensive financial plans that tackle every challenge and opportunity, thus helping them achieve their financial objectives. Chief duties:
- Enhance your expertise as a financial planner by staying updated with the CE requirements of your CFP® or ChFC® certification and actively pursuing new educational programs and learning opportunities to become the go-to financial expert across various domains and planning software within the team.
- Develop holistic financial plans tailored to each client’s unique financial situation. Provide expert guidance on achieving short- and long-term financial goals, such as saving for education, planning for retirement, and optimizing tax and insurance strategies. Build meaningful client relationships to instill confidence in their financial present and ensure a more secure tomorrow.
- Supervise and spearhead the Annual Review process in collaboration with the Wealth Manager, delivering financial advice and recommendations for financial planning, presenting completed financial plans to the Wealth Manager for the final review, delivering finalized plans to clients, and facilitating introductions to other team members as necessary.
- Support business growth by working alongside other team members, assisting with client events, facilitating introductions, collaborating closely with virtual family office partners, and promoting our private and commercial wealth management, virtual family office, and business advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Schedule Annual client reviews in collaboration with the Wealth Manager.
- Effectively communicate the value of financial plans and financial planning.
- Sell financial plans and oversee the process of collecting payment.
- Conduct purposeful and inspiring planning meetings with clients.
- Proactively communicate with clients throughout the planning process.
- Collaborate professionally with client’s advisors and our virtual family office partners.
- Create thorough financial plans using the team’s financial planning software (RightCapital or MoneyGuide Pro) and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Condense all recommendations from the financial plans into concise action plans for the client and the Wealth Manager.
- Collaborate with the Wealth Manager to review finalized plans before proceeding with client Plan Presentation meetings.
- Share ideas for improving planning templates, processes, and resources for consideration by Bisdorf Palmer.
- Support client acquisition by proactively identifying and facilitating introductions to the Wealth Advisor, Retirement Plan Advisor, and Business Advisor where possible.
- Assist the Wealth Advisor and Vice President of Business Advisory and Family Office Solutions in identifying, qualifying, and reviewing current and potential Virtual Family Office partners.
- Assist the Wealth Advisor with events by contributing ideas, offering feedback, and occasionally participating.
- Participate in and support the Vice President of Business Advisory and Family Office Solutions in planning and leading productive Family Office meetings as needed.
- Utilize the CRM system thoughtfully to record recommendations, decisions, and future actions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and completion of CFP® (or ChFC®) coursework and current ability to use designation

About the Position
As a critical team member, the Wealth Advisor spearheads and supervises a holistic organic growth strategy to
achieve a minimum 15% annual growth rate by targeting, identifying, and attracting HNW and UNHW clients
through external and internal strategy. Chief duties:
- Develop an impactful and inclusive sales process tailored to attract HNW and UHNW clients from external sources like prospect events and internal sources such as referrals and introductions. Implement this process to foster collaboration among team members without compromising their Prime Directives.
- Establish and cultivate robust VFO partnerships with the Vice President of Business Advisory and Family Office and other team members.
- Incorporate high-impact seminars, presentations, continuing education, and client events into your comprehensive growth strategy. Plan, host, and present these events with deliberate follow-through and consideration for the schedules of other team advisors when their participation is necessary.
- Manage the team’s travel program to create opportunities for building relationships with clients, their friends and family, family office partners, centers of influence, and prospects.
Responsibilities
- Develop an impactful and inclusive sales process tailored to attract HNW and UHNW clients from external sources and internal sources.
- Provide training and support to the team of advisors to effectively identify referral opportunities, communicate those opportunities to you, and take ownership of securing introductions.
- Strive to achieve a minimum annual net new AUM growth of at least 15%.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Advisory and Family Office to develop a standardized process for identifying outstanding potential VFO partners. This process will involve input and evaluation from the Wealth Manager and Wealth Planner, as well as communication of our value proposition, negotiation of mutually beneficial working relationships, documentation of roles and responsibilities among partners, and management of any required paperwork to formalize these relationships.
- Set up a regular schedule of meetings with VFO partners to foster and enhance relationships and engage with their clients to understand their requirements, identify services we can offer, and attract HNW and UHNW clients. Work collaboratively with our VFO partners to provide these services.
- When planning seminars and similar events, they should be impactful, meticulously planned, and backed by a clear strategy for follow-up.
- As the public face of the team, consciously convey professionalism, competence, and integrity, while also advocating for the skills and services of your team of advisors.
- Conduct compelling and impactful Inquiry, Discovery, and Partnership meetings which incorporate financial planning with potential clients to attract and convince them to trust us with their assets and aspirations.
- Identify opportunities to facilitate introductions within the team as well as our VFO partners.
- Oversee the team’s travel program by seeking input from the team on future travel destinations, promoting team involvement, and inviting prospects, clients, and VFO partners to join us on vacations.
